What my typical client looks like
I wanted to share a bit more about what my typical client looks like because you might be sitting there thinking, ‘do we really need to be on social media?’ - well, this blog might just help you make that decision.
All of my clients have one thing in common: they are experts in their industry. They aren't trendy startups, influencers, or massive companies with hefty marketing budgets. They're established service-based businesses run by people who are incredibly good at what they do.
They're builders, dentists, medical centres, project managers, tradespeople, consultants, and other industry experts. They know their stuff inside and out, but social media isn't where they want to spend their time.
Their goal isn't usually to go viral either.
They simply want to stay visible in their community, build trust with potential customers, and make sure people think of them when they need their services. Or, they might have a s%*t tonne of competition, and they want to stand out.
They're experts, not marketers
My clients are busy running their business.
They're managing staff, looking after customers, quoting jobs, solving problems, and keeping everything moving. Finding time to think of social media post ideas, write captions, source images, and post consistently often falls to the bottom of the to-do list.
Not because they don't see the value in it, but because they're busy doing the work that actually earns them money.
That's why they’ve outsourced their social media to moi. It allows them to focus on what they do best while knowing their social media presence is being looked after professionally and consistently.
They want to stay front of mind
For many service businesses, customers don't need their services every day.
You might not need a builder, dentist, or project manager right now. But when you do, you'll likely choose a business you've seen recently and already trust.
That's where consistent social media comes in (something I harp on about a lot, isn’t it).
It's not about chasing likes or followers (we’re all about reach and engagement). It's about staying visible, building credibility, and reminding people that you're there when they need you.
They don’t want to spend buckets of money
Put it this way, my clients don’t want to chuck $1000’s at a marketing campaign, they’re small to medium-sized businesses who want to gain consistent exposure over long periods of time.
They're not spending thousands every month, they’re getting practical marketing that delivers value without breaking the bank.
That's why I focus on creating consistent, professional content that works hard for their business and helps them get the most from their marketing budget. We spend as little as $10 per post and $50 per meta ad. Some ask, “Will that even do anything?” and I say, trust me, it can!
They need someone who can tell their story
One thing I've learned is that every industry has a story worth telling.
The challenge is translating specialist knowledge into content that customers actually want to read.
That's where I come in.
I take what makes a business unique and turn it into content that educates, builds trust, and keeps them top of mind.
So if you're an expert in your field, want to stay visible in your community, but don't have the time or budget for a full in-house marketing team, you're probably exactly the kind of client I love working with (and who I’ve built my entire business around). Go on, let’s chat!
